Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) chicken tenders
- 8–10 slices of bacon (depending on the number of tenders)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for added flavor)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup. - Prepare the Spice Mixture:
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), black pepper, and salt. - Coat the Chicken:
Take each chicken tender and rub it with the brown sugar mixture, ensuring it’s well-coated. - Wrap with Bacon:
Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of bacon. Start at one end and wrap tightly around the tender, overlapping slightly as you go. - Place on Baking Sheet:
Lay the bacon-wrapped chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down, to prevent the bacon from unrolling. - Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C) and the bacon is crispy. If you want crispier bacon, broil the chicken tenders for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end. - Serve:
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Tips:
- For a spicier version, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the brown sugar mixture.
- If you’re using thicker bacon, you may need to bake the tenders for a few extra minutes.
These Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders are perfect for appetizers, parties, or even a fun weeknight meal! Enjoy!
